WELCOME
Welcome to Yellowstone National Park!
We are 2nd graders from Deer Park, New York. There are 23 of us in Mrs. Steinman's class. Our school is called May Moore Primary School. We enjoyed researching all about Yellowstone National Park.
The first thing we did were our GLOGS about the animals that live in Yellowstone. We had to get library books and information from the internet about our animals. We highlighted interesting facts, took notes, found pictures and videos and created our GLOGS.
We used the iPad to check out weather.com everyday to check out the daily weather. We wrote down the temperature and sky conditions for the park for all of February and March.
After all that, we got into groups to do even more research! We learned about the history, special features and fun facts of Yellowstone. It took us 2 months to do all of this!!
So if you visit the geyser basin, you might see Old Faithful! It’s the most famous geyser. What about those mudpots? There is hot boiling mud popping inside! You’ll also see the American Falls, the biggest waterfall in the park. It’s bigger than Niagara Falls!
There are many fun things that you can do at Yellowstone. You can swim in Yellowstone River...it is freezing!! You can go fishing in the river too. You can take a hike or even go horseback riding to the cowboy cookout…yummy food!!
So what are you waiting for?? It's time to enter the park!
Enjoy but watch out for the bison walking across the road!!
